A two-day Climate Ambassadors COP31 Preparatory Workshop was held in Ankara in cooperation between the Climate Change Presidency and UNICEF Türkiye. The workshop began on 27 August 2026.
It aimed to give concrete shape to the work of the thematic working groups and to clarify the road map towards shared goals. In the opening session, representatives of the Presidency and UNICEF outlined the participants' role in COP31 preparations.
A session titled “The Road to COP31” covered COP mechanisms, how climate negotiations work and the Action Agenda. The programme included climate literacy training and applied peer-learning models.
Youth and Education is one of the ten priority themes of the COP31 Action Agenda and will be addressed at the conference on the 14 November 2026 “Children, Youth, Education and Skills” thematic day.
