BRIDGE: From commitments to investment

BRIDGE has been launched with five pilot countries: Ethiopia, Fiji, Indonesia, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Implemented in partnership with UNDP, the initiative aims to turn national climate priorities into investment-ready projects — bridging the gap between commitments and finance and making a tangible contribution to the climate transition of developing countries.

SURFF: Climate finance for cities

SURFF was established in partnership with İLBANK, UN-Habitat and the World Bank. Designed to channel climate finance to cities in low- and middle-income countries, the mechanism aims to close the financing gap — the single biggest obstacle to climate-resilient urban transformation.

“Climate targets without finance are like an electric car without a battery.”

— Murat Kurum, COP31 President

Kurum stressed that both initiatives lay the groundwork for achieving concrete outcomes at the COP31 conference in Antalya.
