COP31 Preparations Inspected On Site at the Antalya EXPO Area

COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Murat Kurum inspected COP31 preparations at the Antalya EXPO Area on 6 September 2026.

After attending the opening ceremony of the “COP31 Area and Hotels Zone” roads, Minister Kurum carried out a comprehensive site inspection at the EXPO Area and was briefed on inter-agency coordination, transport, logistics and technical infrastructure works. Reviewing ongoing construction, Kurum also planted saplings at the site.

Türkiye's goal for COP31 is to hold an “Implementation COP” that prioritises delivery over declarations. Representatives of more than 190 countries will gather at the conference, which is expected to welcome around 100,000 participants. COP31 will take place at the Antalya EXPO Centre from 9 to 20 November 2026.
